Ma Jia Qi graduated with a diploma in Sports & Exercise Science and joined Core Concepts as a Musculoskeletal Therapist in 2023. Her involvement in various sports and rehabilitation from numerous injuries led her to develop an interest in furthering her knowledge about injury management and rehab.

Prior to joining Core Concepts, she had a 5 months internship opportunity at her school where she worked with many different patients and athletes with different types of injuries, which further enhanced her interest in continuing this path. From her internship programme, she learned how to prevent and manage different sports injuries. She also gained experience by attending sports coverage, such as with Singapore women’s national basketball team. She helped the players with taping and releasing their muscle tightness before and after every match. Moreover, she had to be on standby to manage in-match injuries.
