Vestibular Physiotherapy is a specialized form of exercise-based physiotherapy, that prescribes to treat and manage symptoms caused by vestibular disorders. Vestibular disorders are related to your body’s vestibular system – which is the link between your ear and your brain.

The Vestibular System

Your vestibular system is a sensory system made up of two inner ear organs, vestibular centres in the brain stem and your vestibular nerves.

It provides the brain information about head movement, body position and reacts accordingly by sending out nerve impulses to the muscles in your eyes, trunk and limbs to help you balance.

How can Vestibular Physiotherapy Help?

Nicole is a Vestibular/Neurological Senior Physiotherapist at Core Concepts. She is experienced in the assessment and treatment of vestibular and neurological conditions with 6 years of experience in Tan Tock Seng Hospital’s neurological team in a variety of settings, inpatient, intensive care unit outpatient and the emergency department, which include musculoskeletal, orthopaedics, cardiopulmonary disciplinaries.

Nicole also has special interests in seeing vestibular migraine and traumatic brain injury conditions, as her current passion is to raise awareness, educate the vestibular community, and empower clients and the public to take control of their dizziness and to regain their balance, movement and quality of life.
